G.fast DPUs for connecting FTTB areas
Fibre-like speed at copper access deployment conditions!
FTTB (Fibre-to-the-Building) is an economical alternative to FTTH rollouts. With 4 to 24 ports and variable form factors, the G.fast DPUs MileGate 205x, MileGate 204x and MileGate 2144 are specifically designed for FTTB installations - be it wall mounted or a rack installation. G.fast with 212 MHz profile provides nearly 2 Gbps via the building's existing copper-wire pairs.
Subscribers in residential and commercial buildings, where a high demand for bandwidth often goes hand in hand with an existing copper infrastructure, thus benefit from bandwidths in the gigabit range.
Thanks to the VDSL2 mode, the DPUs allow seamless migration to higher bandwidths. Network operators can start with VDSL2 and switch to G.fast if demand grows.
